I'm recovering from a sports-type knee injury but hope to wrangle some of my products to my Beard St. blog, making that the main place to purchase products I make from my art. Happy Thanksgiving! I've been working on this since July..

New Hairyartist info

Hi Buddy! I bring news today..as you remember, I've been working on my archival MANCARDS as a way to offer you signed and numbered sets of archival prints of my paintings as I prepare them for my first art book. I've been finishing set 2 which I'll present this week. Unfortunately I underestimated the cost of archival inks as I've stepped up my printing and the $21 (US) price I set is not going to be sustainable. I'm going to keep this introductory price through November 30, and raising it thereafter, probably to 35 ultimately. The prints are gorgeous, and at 1200 dots per inch, present every detail perfectly.

I've been working on additional products that I'm ready to start sharing with you, such as my 2011 calendar (sexy version) and the version I designed for general audiences that you can preview here.

And there is more. I set up the blog Beard Street a few years ago to be my storefront, and am finally ready to start using it. I will have some new cards to present as well as my hairy man art on a variety of objects I've created over the years (and offered at reasonable prices ;). Hopefully something new as many days as I can, many one of a kind objects. Love, William

given a thorough painting with water over the watercolor pencil pigments to prepare it for the rigors 1200 dot per inch scanning will demand..I've just printed it for the upcoming MANCARDS Set 2 as I march towards the Hairyartist Volume 1 art book. I'm really happy with the results, and bringing them to you as affordable miniature art prints is fun and satisfying as I continue down my path of love and hair..thanks for your support!

Hi Buddy..I've been working hard in my weeklong absence from posting and have many exciting paintings and products to share with you this week. For now here's a sketch I did last night with watercolor pencil and water on paper, 5x7"..part of my campaign of balancing out the work I do inspired by photographs with work from my imagination.

newly finished Blackbeard of Happiness

I'm working on a publication project and preparing 'final' scans of some of my favorite paintings and drawings (more details to be released soon). Upon looking at my work blown up to 1200 pixels per inch will involve further refinements to be made to each work and this is the first. I painted his eyes and all the hair on his head and 3 hairs on his body ;) with sumi ink, several coats until I could see definition and thickness of the layers. The tattoos got some work also. I'm hoping to prepare one of these each weekday with a surprise when I get to number 9.
